Extend Your Day At Sleepy Hollow!
Sleepy Hollow offers after school programs for three and four year olds in the fall, winter and spring. We utilize staff as well as outside contractors to offer enriching programs perfectly fit for our preschoolers. Please read below to learn more about the offerings. Enrollment emails are to the SHPS families before the start of each session.
Discovery Bunch
Discovery Bunch - 2 hours (including lunch time) - this program is all about discovery through hands-on investigation of teacher-guided curriculum. Children will engage in a mix of different activities, many of them focusing on STEM concepts, with a different topic each week.
Offered in the fall, winter, and spring.
Yoga
Yoga - 1 hour - Theme-based yoga classes using stories, music and games to create a fun and joyful environment supporting children through their learning of yoga poses, relaxation, mindfulness, breathing and more. Self awareness, emotional regulation, respect, flexibility, strength and coordination are just some of the benefits of yoga.
Offered in the winter.
Soccer
Soccer - 1 hour - Children will learn the basics of ball control, turning, shielding, dribbling, passing, and shooting through FUN oriented games. The curriculum is based on using animals, shapes, and cartoon characters which allows the players to use their imagination while having the time of their lives!
Offered in the fall and spring.
Dance
Dance - 1 hour - Children will learn pre-ballet and creative movement as well as international folk and character dance. Participation in International Dance classes will encourage development of motor coordination skills, balance, partnering, flexibility, strength, concentration, independence, creativity through use of imagination, poise, posture, rhythm and discipline – all while having fun and learning about music and dance.
